VMR Media is founded by Vanessa McDonald Ryan, an award-winning, three time Emmy-nominated, entertainment journalist, broadcast/digital producer and fashion/lifestyle consultant.

A member of the Producer’s Guild of America and a creative force in the entertainment industry, for over eighteen years, Vanessa has produced both long and short form television, digital, and social content at major media networks such as E!, NBC Universal, FOX Entertainment, MTV, Condenast Entertainment, and Getty Entertainment.

For almost ten years Vanessa has been producing and booking at E! Entertainment, as the Senior Fashion/Lifestyle Producer for E! News.  She is responsible for producing/booking/interviewing the A-list celebrity fashion segments with talent like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Beyonce, the weekly fashion trend segments, major fashion events like the Met Gala and seasonally she project manages their extensive NYFW rollout content as the official multi-platform media partner of NYFW.   

Additional highlights in her career include producing specials on location at the Royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, the 2012 London Olympics, Paris Fashion Week, the Inauguration of President Barack Obama and producing thousands of high profile interviews with film, TV, music, and pop culture icons such as George Clooney, Madonna, Oprah and President Bill Clinton.  Vanessa got her start in television working in hard news on newsmagazine, cable news shows and documentaries for FOX and NBC and has also worked on camera as a reporter for TV Guide.

With almost 20 yrs of production experience serving the broadcast/digital community, Vanessa has a unique understanding of all sides of the industry, and an extensive network of industry contacts in booking, planning and executing a production.
